Compare the sediment images

This module allows you to compare the different elements of the sediment and to develop your ability to recognize these elements.

Select, on the left, which elements you want to compare.

When several different elements are present in an image, they are labeled with abbreviations. The list of abbreviations in use is displayed below. When several of the same elements are present in an image, the labels are displayed only for the most characteristic.

The original version of this tutorial was written in German, then translated into French and English. For practical reasons, the abbreviations attached to the iconography are kept in their original version. Their full meaning is indicated below in English or in French (in parenthesis).
